Tadashi sighed. "It shouldn't be like this...it's horrible...and the worst part is...that this isn't over yet...they'll come back to try to get our lands, this isn't our last fight..."

Akara sighed and entered a cave. "Is anybody in here?!" she called out. Is anybody in here? Is anybody in here? Here echo trailed off, far to the back of the cave. There was no response. "i guess not." she said quietly. Suddenly, she heard a little whimper. Akara turned around to see a small frightened pup. "Aw.....come here, it's okay." The pup did not budge, so Akara gently picked it up by the scruff of its neck. She gave Tadashi a come-on signal, then Akara set the pup down with Krakuia.
Krakuia nuzzled him and nodded to Akara, telling her she could leave him with her for now. Krakuia looked over to Isao, who was enjoying his elk. She smiled and nuzzled the pup again. "Don't worry, little one. You're safe now."

Tadashi looked at the pup and smiled. "What a cute little puppy...do you think Isao will think it's ok that you keep the pup Krakuia?"
Isao turned his head, he looked at the puppy and smiled.- "Oh, Krakuia! You even got me dessert...I love you so much, first I'll finish this elk, and then I'll go for that cute little candy you have there."

The pup ran behind Krakuia, it's tail in between its legs. "ISAO! How could you possibly think I'd let you eat this sweetie." Krakuia licked the puppy. "It may have lost its parents. I'm taking care of it for now." Krakuia said it sitting tall and brave.
Akara smiled at Krakuia's determined mind, and then turned to Tadashi. "I'd love to see the movie of Isao's response, but it's probably rated R. You can stay, but I'm going to go search for others." Akara walked away, glancing at Tadashi again.

Isao choked with a piece of meat when he heard Krakuia. "Krakuia...did you just said that WE are keeping...HIM?!?
Tadashi looked scared at Isao.- "I...I think I'll go with you Akara..."
He quickly turned around and run with Akara.

Krakuia put on a sweet innocent face. "Aww.....come on Isao. It's just until we find its parents." She battered her eyelashes. "Pleeeeease."
Akara searched in another den. She peeked in. "Hello? Anybody-" she paused. Inside were more dead pack members. She slowly rose out of it. "Um........no one's here...." she just said. "Let's go to the another." Akara glanced back once more, then turned to a cave.

"Hmm..." - Isao thought for a while and smiled.- "What about...Katsuo?"
Tadashi looked at the cave. - "I don't know how much we can keep this...it doesn't look like there's any other survivor..."

Krakuia smiled sympethetically, "Katsuo is a wonderful name, Isao. Good choice." She bent down to the pup. "Well, Katsuo, welcome to our world." She laughed. Krakuia wanted to say welcome to the family, but she knew that wasn't going to happen.
Akara nodded, but continued. "I feel like quiting, but what if.........what if there's just one.....one survivor out there who needs our help?" Akara reasoned, putting herself in that one survivor's place.

Tadashi looked at Akara and sighed. - "Ok, let's continue if that's what you want...but we should hurry up...we don't know when the Ghaski pack is going to return...even though they lost lots of dogs too...they know we lost some members too and they won't hesitate to come back, so we need to take the injured to a safer place."

Krakuia smiled. "Yes, he is. Well........Isao, I guess we better stay here until we find Katsuo's parents. Then we'll have to return to our pack."
Akara nodded, then stopped. "I know what'll be easier." Akara leaped on a tall boulder and called out the answering and gathering call. She howled long and loud so everyone could hear her. All the wolves gathered around the boulder when they heard the call, and the wolves who couldn't make it would call out. Akara leaped off the boulder when all the wolves came. She listened for any other calls, but heard none. "I guess that's all of them."

Isao nodded his head.- "Yeah, you're right...well, I'll go see if I can help Akara and Tadashi, you should stay with Katsuo."
He walked to Akara.- "Hi Akara...do you need anything else from us?... This place looks horrible, are these all the survivors?"

Akara slowly shook her head with a mournful look. "Sadly, yes." she whispered. Akara walked over to the middle of all the huskies. "I know this looks bad...........but we have to fight with what we've got. The Ghaski Pack will return soon, but we don't know when. I'll be giving you all new assignments, since the former huskies are no longer here." Akara swallowed hard then turned to Tadashi. "Tadashi, I appoint you the Alpha Male." She smiled slightly then turned to one of Kakara's older pup. "Jaquro, you will be watching out for this pack." Akara continued to give each member an assignment, then finally went into her cave to rest.

"Alpha male, huh? Sweet, how does it feel?"-Said Isao smiling at Tadashi.
Tadashi smiled but his smiled faded when he turned to Akara's cave.-" It's alright, I guess...I just wish that Akara could get some real rest...but it won't happen until we defeat the Ghaski...well, if you excuse me, I've got something to do." - Tadashi walked into Akara's cave.
